Dental examinations
Regular examinations help us identify existing problems and look for changes before they become more serious. Your dentist will discuss how often you need a check-up based on your individual needs.
We look at your overall oral health as well as any concern that brought you in, so we can discuss the options available to you.
Your consultation
For new patients, the first appointment usually takes at least 30 minutes so we can take a dental history and carry out a full examination. Routine examinations for existing patients are also around 30 minutes.
If you have a specific concern, the consultation can begin there. Your dentist may also suggest a full mouth examination to understand your overall oral health and help plan your care.
The length of other appointments depends on the treatment needed. We will discuss this with you when arranging your visit.
