Filling options
We use a range of filling materials, including tooth-coloured composite resin. Your dentist will explain the options for your tooth.
A direct filling is placed in the tooth; larger restorations may require an impression and additional appointments.
A temporary filling may be used during emergency care, between root canal appointments or while another restoration is being prepared.
After a filling
Some sensitivity can occur after treatment. If you experience pain when biting or are concerned about a filling, contact the practice so the team can assess it.
