Wisdom teeth do not always cause problems. When there is insufficient space, an impacted wisdom tooth may cause pain, infection or affect nearby teeth.
If you have ongoing discomfort, we can assess the tooth and discuss whether treatment or removal is appropriate.

An extraction can range from a straightforward procedure to a surgical one. Your dentist will discuss the recommended approach and what to expect at your consultation.
If a tooth is removed, we can also discuss whether and how to replace it.

Your dentist will explain the procedure and anaesthetic, the expected recovery and any aftercare you need. The number of visits depends on the complexity of your treatment.
When a missing tooth needs replacing, options may include a denture, bridge or implant. We can discuss these with you as part of your plan.
